At different times in 2019, the German Federal Ministry of Health received a Serbian and a Czech delegation of experts in the fields of rare disease research and care. Scenarium was commissioned by the Ministry to plan and implement the visits and associated study tours. The experts were given the opportunity to get to know the German health system during their one-week stays in Germany, with a focus on the care of patients with rare diseases. The most important institutions and organisations in the health system were visited and Scenarium created numerous opportunities to meet with German experts in research centres and health care institutions, policymakers and civil society platforms. The aim of the expert visits was to promote cross-border networking and cooperation.
